I am totally excited to share some great news! In May 2020, I received not one but two offers to publish my next book!
I’ve signed an agreement with Bloomsbury Publishing. They love my title, subtitle, book description, and all three sample chapters that I submitted, and are super eager to work with me. They are planning on my book being their lead business book next year! Pretty cool, eh?
I’m amazed and thrilled. Bloomsbury is absolutely a top tier publisher and they made me a really nice offer in order to win me over and convince me to turn down the competing offer from Little, Brown and Company. Nonetheless, it was a tough decision because both of these editors and their companies are fabulous. I can’t stop smiling. I’m joining a really impressive history of Bloomsbury authors, including J.K. Rowling!
After 17 years of writing almost 700 articles about the power of clarity to dramatically improve how we work together for vastly greater results, I could not be happier to finally see my contributions hit the mainstream. I’ve created a whole new category. The word ‘clarity’ has gradually been creeping into more and more conversations and articles. People really are starting to see that a lack of clarity is the cause of numerous pains: poor productivity, unproductive meetings, wasted time, solutions that solve nothing, discord, frustration, slow decisions, bad decisions, wild goose chases, profit erosion, and much, much more. Uncommon Clarity is almost as powerful as Harry Potter’s wizardry! Maybe more! Either way, The Power of Clarity will change the way you think and interact with others.
I can’t wait for you to read this book. It will probably come out about a year from now, but that year will slip by before you know it. In the meantime, stay tuned for more news. Once I finish writing this book, I’ve got lots of other ideas I’ve been eager to launch.
I hope things are going well for those reading this good news. I say that with some trepidation because I know many of you may be in tough straits right now because of this darn pandemic. The novel coronavirus is one of very few problems that are not caused by a lack of clarity. That said, our country’s lack of preparation and failure to mount a strong coordinated response to the pandemic is absolutely a result of zero clarity, though not only that.
Stay healthy. Find joy in simple pleasures and good relationships; maybe even in the hope that my book will help the world create far greater clarity for the benefit of organizations and people worldwide.
