It’s April. Time’s a flying! Have you blocked out time for your 2019 vacations? If not, get on it before you miss the boat!
In case you haven’t noticed, work has a way of taking over the calendar. Don’t let it! You have only one life to live. Block out some time now before the opportunity to book time, lodging, or tickets disappears.
If you can’t think of anywhere to go, spin your globe (does anyone have globes anymore?), ask your friends and colleagues, and/or google “ten best places to visit in ____.” Fill in the blank with any place near or far. Google will offer suggestions as you type to get you started. Be bold! Try something new! Just get it on your calendar before it’s too late.
My husband and I normally have our vacations planned for the year before the end of New Year’s Day. This year, we didn’t agree on destinations or dates until this past month. I was really starting to squirm. I mean I love my clients, but there is no way I want to surrender my vacation options to their schedules! Now I can rest easy. AND totally look forward to the months ahead. Our plans are on the books and we can work the details as needed. Obviously, we can toss in a long weekend on the fly, but the necessary blocks of time are protected, as they should be.
